4 Social Media Tips for Rebellious Maximum Pipeline Generation

July 3, 2024

Social media is one of the greatest tools for getting more personable and building better, deeper relationships with your tribe. Honestly, it’s the next best thing to in-person cold calling if you ask me.

I’ve used it to build a Rebellious community of over 70k+ highly engaged salespeople, all looking to fight the status quo and bring change to an industry we love. And I’ve sold over $600k+ in revenue without sending a single pitch in the DMs.

The best part is, you can do this too. If you want to see how, keep reading, but first, let me tell you a little story.

The Power of Community

In 1969, four young men had a big vision of bringing the countercultures closer together. Their plan was to create a “3 Days of Peace & Music” festival to serve as a gathering point and a platform for their ideals of peace, love, and unity.

They secured a venue, brought in a stellar lineup of artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and The Who, and started promoting the event. The problem is, they faced loads of permit issues and were basically forced to relocate the festival.

After several changes they eventually landed on a dairy farm in Bethel, New York, and this last-minute change couldn’t fit the number of expected attendees. Their original plan was to charge an entry ticket, but when about half a million people showed up they decided to make the event free.

It was a home run. The artists delivered powerful performances, created a sense of community, and made an iconic and unforgettable experience for everyone.

If you didn’t catch on by now, I’m talking about Woodstock, a historical event that became a symbol of the counterculture movement and a testament to the power of human connection.

That, my friend, is the power of community. The event’s success wasn’t about the organizers, or the venue. It was about a great vision that resonated with a generation in need of change.

And that is exactly what you can achieve with social media. You literally have a platform that allows you to share your vision with the world, showcase your personality, the problems you fix, cause curiosity, and get people bought into your story.

I’ve been posting on social media every single day (excluding the weekends, those are optional) for the past 7 years. I’ve seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows of trying to influence an entire industry. So here are the top learnings I have gained from posting content, commenting in the feed, going on webinars, meeting new friends, attracting new haters, etc.

1. Bring awareness to yourself and what you are trying to achieve

One of the greatest forms of pipeline generating activities is awareness that you create through posting, commenting, and building a community. So choose a rhythm you can stick with and stay consistent.

2. Attract the right audience

You want to attract people who are looking for your expertise in their own personal and professional walk. The key here is authenticity. It may not attract all people, but it will attract the RIGHT people.

It will attract a community truly impacted by your work. Just be human, give experiences, stay relevant, tell stories, and enlighten and uplift others.

3. Network, network, network

This is what most people suck at because they play into the vanity metrics. Please don’t be that person. Don’t just connect with EVERYONE with no good reason. Instead, connect beyond the surface and focus on the frequency you’re giving off, otherwise you won’t be noticed.

4. Use storytelling

I’ve saved the best for last. Stories are one of the most powerful ways to impact people. Don’t shy away from sharing yours. Using storytelling creates an inclusive environment for the buyers who might be watching you, so use it!

And that’s pretty much all there is to it. It’s about authenticity, doing the right (basic) things every single day, and staying consistent with it.

Now, if you’ve come here to learn the #1 trick to gain 10,000 followers by the end of day, I’m sorry, but you’ve come to the wrong place. This is The Sales Rebellion and there’s no such thing as “quick wins” over here. There’s only commitment to excellence through creativity, relationships, and experiences.

And if you want a glimpse of how we use that to stand out from the rest of the boring salespeople, check out the Rebel Email Newsletter. You’ll get a cool sales story, tip, or inspiration in a very Rebellious way. See you there :)
